It is now called Shishlik (they have a real restaurant a bit further away from Sababa, but there is also a night market stand in between). Although the name is different, the pitas are the same. But in the night market they serve them half-priced and half-priced. This is amazing as a snack, or 2 Pitas for dinner!
Greek Pita in Gongguan. The bread was crispy what it ate. The filling was nicely stuffed. The best part is the fried fish was crispy. Also tried her chicken salad, which was not bad. Will return to try the others.
The best food I had in Taipei all year: Prices are so affordable that we have the combo for 2 (lamb beef salad potatoes, Pita drinks all included for $699 The interior is super sweet and cozy. Feels like you're not in Asia, it's a big escape from the local food scene. Fresh ingredients, fast service, relaxing ambience, wonderful customer service. Do not complain at all and I am so picky haha Will come back every week, just so happy that we live near this restaurant.
A place that gives you a taste of the Middle East, and such a great discovery and surprise to find such a place in Taipei!
A friend sprung this place on us and we are very glad for it. The pitas were warm, and the filling was generous. Lamb was delicious and the falafel was very well fried. Verdict from our group is that you can skip the baklava. Unfortunately for the current batch, the cinnamon taste was overpowering and the pastry was hard. I would like to come back and try their other dishes.
