The restaurant appears to be a branch of a chain from Kyoto. The menu is extensive, with options for meat lovers as well as vegetarians and vegans. It seems to be the only restaurant in the Takashima area with so many vegetarian options. I ordered the vegetarian set, priced at around 1400 yen, and it was a generous portion: fluffy nan bread, rice, a samosa, three different small dishes (one with paneer, one lentil-based, and one with spinach), papadum, and a mango lassi. Every dish was delicious. The atmosphere is family-friendly and the staff were helpful (and they also spoke English). I can't wait to come back. P.S. I heard that the lunch menu is cheaper and offers set meals, while dinner allows for ordering dishes a la carte. I will definitely try that next time.
I recently had dinner at a restaurant by Lake Biwa and I can't wait to go back soon! The restaurant is located across from Makino Sunny Beach and is part of a chain based in Kyoto. I tried the Veggie set, priced at 1400 yen, and it was a great value with a fluffy and huge naan, rice, a samosa, three different small dishes (including a lentil-based dish and spinach), papadum, and a mango dessert. The food was all delicious. The restaurant is child-friendly and the staff was helpful and English-speaking. I can't wait to go back.
