Cafe Sanso - Talahiban

I had a merienda craving yesterday and specifically, churros. This place was just around my corner plus I had tried the churros couple of times before and liked it. I remember it being crunchy, but light and the chocolate dip just the right amount of sweet. Sadly, yesterday's batch was neither. It had a hard crunch and had too much of the sugary cinnamon. The chocolate sauce was nothing special as well.We ordered another dessert to make up for the sad churros, but that fried milk pudding dessert did not taste as interesting as it was described.The fried milk was cold and soggy. I found the combination just strange.

The ambiance is nice and cozy but can't accommodate large groups. The food was great. The paella and the churros are to die for. The place and price are just right for the neighborhood-in front a rockwell condo and near wilson. Target market was on point. The sangria is a must try, too. Perfect for couples who just want to have a simple date with good food.

I initially ordered the beergarita and beef salpicao. But found out that their churros is a must-try. The reviews are correct! The churros are really a MUST-TRY! :)Neighborhood is quiet so if you go at night for drinks, it's nice to stay outdoors. :) Look around for interesting paintings too!

Wanted to have some paella at a relaxed pace and we had it here at Cafe Sanso. We ordered some pumpkin soup (light and good) and callos to go with the paella. Meal was just right and ended with the fried flan dessert. Very Good service. While waiting for the food, we leafed through coffee table books on Juvenal Sanso. :). The Cafe is also adjacent to an art gallery/museum for those who want to embrace the feel and seeing more works of art.
