Hopkins Eatery - Tallahassee

Love Hopkins, the Garden Sandwich is my favorite! All their sandwiches are great, and I love all the plants in the restaurant. The unsweetened tea they have is ingenious

Jacob and Crew are great! Hopkins was lunch today. I recently found out they had a Gf bread. So I got Cubans, no Mayo and the ham and beans soup, which is made with a healthy base instead of chickens! Great customer service. Excellent Cobb salad?! I added the avocado (not sure if they offer it).

I'll never eat at Hopkins again because of the bad service. Others were also frustrated with the same bad service. When we placed our order and went to the self-service area to get our drinks, there was no ice cream in the machine. I returned to the counter waiting on the hostess to finish a phone order before I explained there was no ice cream. Before I could say more, she yelled at me, she had to wait for the people who just came in and she got ice when she had time. No offer to fill our cups in the back or let the women wake up in the kitchen for help. I sat back to wait. Our food order was called and still no ice cream. When I went to our order, I asked for a refund of drinks, as there was no ice cream. The hostess told me she'd get a manager. She continued to wait for customers as they came into the door without getting ice for us. After we finished our sandwiches, she founded a ladder on the beverage machine and then went to wait for more customers. No offer yet to get two cups of ice from behind, although she had made several trips to the kitchen. She came out and told me that the manager said there were no refunds on ice shortage. I asked to talk to the manager who came out when the Hostess poured ice in the machine and said it was ice now, so no refund. While all this went on, I saw a woman give up to get hot water from the coffee machine for hot tea because it was just dripping. Finally, while the manager talked to me, the hosts stood there and admired us to deny ice cream and a refund.

Deelish! Italian sub with pepper salad onion tomatoes on wheat bread, sweet tea with mint. Great lunch!

Locally onwed joints, long history in town, great sandwiches, fantastic sweets, I enjoy it.
