Alter Ego - Tallinn

Delicious food and wonderful surroundings. There is a children's playground nearby, very practical when you visit Tallinn with children. Especially great in summer. Service is friendly, but could be a little faster. A step from the old historical centre. Halfway from the old town to the port of Helsinki.

Not sure that some of the negative reviews, the food was fantastic. Had a strawberry margarita, scallop-cauliflower sauce starter, venison with mushroom sauce for main, and dessert (Creme Catalana and we were blown away with taste and presentation. Right with restaurants we visited in Canada. Service was very friendly and efficient. You get what you insert: favorite part is how the waitress does not ask you every 2 minutes how you do in North America, and let us your dune in peace. If you need it, it is very available and attentive. If you are in quality, creative food with a cozy, upscale and yet relaxed atmosphere, you will love it. Will definitely be back.

Good service, but paella did not meet our expectations. We ordered Scallops and Tuna tataki for Appetiser, we can definitely recommend the tuna. It was very nice and delicately cooked. Scallops were meh. For the main course we took the traditional Catalan paella, but we were very disappointed. It didn't have the Paella aroma we were looking for, all we could taste were tomatoes and peppers. The service was really good, the waitress took care of us and was quiet and welcoming.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Tallinn. There is a beautiful fashion design, WiFi, terrace in summer, beautiful Spanish cuisine with food design and wines. A bit expensive, but it's worth it. Friendly English speaking staff. There is no parking.

Defenitely recommended if you want to eat good food in a cosy place in the central of Tallinn. If they improve service little bit, they would be perfect.
