Personally for me, it hasn't been as excited as I have tried and tasted amazing biriyanis in and around bangalore. but in tenkasi usually get u to parotas and from curs, that is the specificity of the place, so they really need to look for good biriyani hotels and challappa would be the target for it. as most of them mentioned, quality is good, but the amount is less. Chicken fry was good. must say very friendly staff and they make sure that the customer is well treated. something else if they drive a car, I don't think they can visit there as this hotel is in the galli road.
The GUN chicken they give you in a biryani is something you can rarely see. this is the speciality here. this is a good place for a family dinate out and the taste here is satisfactory if they are looking for a decent South tamilnadu eating. the pichi potta naatukozhi fry is a must try recipe. that is a good option that you are in and around tenkasi.
After seeing too many reviews, I actually wanted to try peli parotta. picha potta parotta with naatukozhi gravy was in the head. it rained heavily in tenkasi and I was late for my bus and my peli had luck, was full crowded. So I had to look for other options. I found the hotel chellappa. my order was chicken biriyani and naatukozhi fry. chicken biryani: excellent taste with great aroma. and one of the biggest chickens I ever tasted in biriyani. naatukozhi varuval: it was similar to pichu potta kozhi. boiled in cocos oil with a hauch of thorns and red chili. excellent taste and quantity. special mention: gravies the accompanied graveys are not top notch, but somewhat watery compared to other hotels. I have urappu gravur, normal gravur and salna. it would go well with parottas or idioyappam. but I was full of biriyani and huh because of the big crowd. the best place in tenkasi to taste chickens.
Great eating, amazing taste and sizier with all Indian masalas. this hotel must try for spicy lovers. pepper mutton chukka must try here. this place is located in the middle of the city, which is easier to reach, only problem is the parking space.
