Berggasthaus Eggwald - Tamins

No convenience food here...only fresh and delicious home cooked meals. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, making you feel at home. There's a charming room with private bath on the lower level for anyone who wants to spend a few days hiking the mountain trails or if you're a big group, there's dormitory style rooms for rent as well. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking, no matter which way you turn your head, you are blessed with a stunning view of the mountains. You cannot go to Switzerland without visiting this lovely hidden gem of a place (the best treasures are the found in remote areas). The drive there is half the fun as you follow the twists and turns of the scenic route up the pass. Great food, great scenery and most of all...great hosts. Thank you Lucia and Micha for a fantastic stay. I will be back.

Mit dem Auto von Bad Ragaz durchs Taminatal Richtung Kunkelspass bis zum Ende der Strasse. Dann 20 Minuten zu Fuss. Und dann einen feinen Blueberry-Kuchen geniessen oder etwas feines Währschaftes vom Bio-Bauer. So können gelungene Sonntagnachmittage aussehen... Und wer sich interessiert und Zeit dazu hat, kann bis zum Kunkelspass weiterlaufen und sich dort im neuen Inforaum über das UNESCO-Welterbe Tektonikarena Sardona informieren.
