The grouper Godzilla burrito is perfect every time. High quality food is always worth waiting, and that's always worth it! 6/5 stars
Decided to come try this place out on a recommendation from friends. Very small place with very limited parking but do have some parking available in the back. The inside is very small too...only 4 tables. Interior set up to look like a taco stand but inside. When you walk in, you go to the small little register at the front to place your order. You can view a small menu hanging on the wall by the register to decide what you want. I ordered the Original Grouper fish taco (after all the menu says this taco is what placed them on the Food Network's Diners, Drive In's, and Dives) and my husband ordered the Cali Bowl. My taco was smaller than expected...but tasty. You can tell the tortillas are made fresh! Fish was moist and not dry. Although more breading on the fish than expected menu said light tempura. My husbands bowl was better than my taco so I'll be ordering this or something other than the grouper taco next time. Mine came with tortilla chips which were made fresh and good tasting...I just wish they also came with some salsa. Giving them 3 stars based on the wait time and the fact that I had to wait for the chips after my taco was delivered because they ran out and had to fry more. Despite the place not being that busy our wait was excessively long!
Delicious food and friendly staff. You can't go wrong at this place! I always make sure to stop by whenever I'm in Tampa.
This place is fantastic! I absolutely love their tacos. They offer four types of sauces: Mild, Medium, Hot, and Spiked. The hot sauce is manageable even for those who aren't used to spicy food. Personally, I enjoy adding the spiked sauce to my tacos. It offers an amazing flavor experience that really excites your taste buds.
The tacos were a decent size, but they took an incredibly long time to arrive—around 20 minutes for just three tacos and a burrito, and we were the only customers there. When I finally received my food, it was cold. There was definitely no option to take it to go. The tacos tasted okay despite the temperature, but I've had much better options elsewhere that are faster and come at a better price. Additionally, the staff seemed uninformed about the food. When I asked about the size of the tacos, the girl indicated a very small size with her hands, but my taco ended up being at least twice that size and quite stuffed. If I had known how large they were, I would have ordered just two instead of wasting money on a third. I might give this place another try and will update my review if things improve, but I probably won't be back anytime soon.
