The Beach - Tampa

Went to Beach once before beautiful views but today's experience was not great. Had to wait a while to get seated when we had a reservation, when we spoke to the manager about the seating, he wasn't polite, had an attitude. I told my husband after this experience we wont be coming back! We will go across to whiskey joes which has same beautiful views but better service!

It was awful. Construction taking place immediately next to the patio dining area. Waited 25 minutes and no server even came over to say hello, even though there was a menu and silverware on the table. Finally got up and left.

This restaurant has a lovely view of the water, which is why we selected it, but unfortunately, there were 4 or 5 jet skis going back and forth constantly. The noise was horrible. There is a pier that you can usually walk down to watch the sunset, but there was a private party on the pier, so we could not use it. The service was terrible. We had to flag down a waiter to order a couple of beers and some soft drinks. After waiting 15-20 minutes, I went inside the restaurant to alert the hostess that we were waiting a long time for our drinks. It was another 5-10 minutes before the drinks were delivered. The rest of the service was equally as bad. The food was ok, nothing special. I might go there on another night for a drink and to listen to the band, but I will sit at the bar so as to have proper service.

We made a reservation for 4 outdoor seating at 11am for their Sunday brunch that advertises $29.95 price and $10 bottomless mimosas. When we arrived at 1050am the man who greeted us said I didn't need a reservation and that we only had 10 minutes left for breakfast and if we wanted to sit outside we wouldn't have a server. I was baffled as to why they would advertise a brunch and allow an outdoor seating reservation if that wasn't the case so I went back inside to ask someone else. She told me that the brunch buffet was just beginning at 11am and their continental breakfast was the one ending and she would send a server outside for us. The 1st guy was rude and had the complete wrong info. From there on out the service and food was excellent. The view outside was great and the live reggae band was cool too. The brunch had a nice spread and the mimosas really were bottomless!

My family and I had a horrible time. 1 1/2 hr wait for 2 salads and tacos! Very unapologetic staff. I will NEVER go back and have told everyone I come across at the hotel to avoid at all costs. The manager does not appreciate hos customers or their time while on vacation. The food was out of a bag or greacy...dripping nasty! Spead your money and time elsewhere! By the way, having a reservation is un-noticed!!
