Almost like going to a market. Food was good and delivered hot to our table. The bread was outstanding served with herb olive oil. Located in the old Sweet Tomatoes building in Carrollwood. Price for 3 people with beverage, salad and dessert was about $60.00 Lots of families and youngchildren. Definitely worth a return trip.
Stopped in on a whim. Service to food was excellent! Can't believe I've never heard of this place and thank goodness it's not super close cause I'd be there several times a week.
Nice place, but the food is very lacking. Starting with the complimentary focaccia bread was nice and according to my wife was the best part of the meal. The food came out super-fast, almost too fast. The appetizer was at the table before I returned with our waters and cutlery. We ordered fried mozzarella for the starter; they were overcooked and had an odd flavor, likely acceptable for others and loved by kids, but we didn't finish them. We both happened to order the lasagna for our main dish. We were both very disappointed in what came out. The noodles were mush... it basically dissolved in your mouth. I don't think I've had worse cooked lasagna noodles. My wife couldn't stomach the texture or flavor and stopped after only a couple bites. Then she was a tad annoyed when she burned her arm on the extremely hot pottery. It appeared to be a nice environment with a lot of families and children. The service was good and the place was clean; however, because of the food we won't be back.
So I have been here repeatedly and always love the music and food and service is usually good. I have to give this one star from a recent experience. Not my usual style, but from the minute we ordered it was a disaster. I'm usually very understand of staffing challenges etc but they had 8 people in the kitchen yet our food came out piecemeal and it was all wrong. Then my husband had a piece of metal on his sandwich. We told the server about everything and she just said I'm not sure what's wrong in the kitchen. We asked for the manager and he was so wrapped up in trying to figure out what the metal piece was that he didn't even listen to the feedback on everything else. His solution was to give us a scoop of ice cream for our troubles. Anyti.e this happened in my pat, the meal was credited off the bill. When I pay $55 before a tip for 3 people, I just expect a different response. I really like the atmosphere and location, but probably not going back.
We found this extraordinary restaurant by accident and it is a treasure.Exceptionally clean with wait staff who greet and treat you like honored family. An expansive menu of appetizers, salads, pizzas, pastas, and sandwiches, all freshly prepared from scratch. Moderately priced lunch menu pizzas come with choices of soups or salads. Outstandingly fresh and tasty, we had the Margarita and Florentine Pizzas with Caesar salads (super delicious w/ focaccia croutons). Pizzas were expertly prepared in a real fire oven, all in eye's view.Yes, a treasure too good to keep to myself.Go..Enjoy..Be delighted satisfied.
