Michelle Faedo’s Tampeno Cuisine

This restaurant is excellent! The service is friendly and the combination of meats, cheese, and condiments is perfect. I especially loved the garlic butter on the Cuban bread. I give it five stars!

My visit on 12/2/2022 was quite disappointing. I'm not sure if they have a new chef, but the sandwich I ordered had very little pernil (roasted pork), too much mustard, and the cheese was barely melted. I usually enjoy their Cubans with lettuce and tomato, but this time it was lacking flavor. The bread was still tasty, but overall it tasted more like a ham and cheese sandwich than a Cuban. I suppose it was just an off day for them.

The best Cuban sandwich in Tampa, but the service is subpar. I placed an order for a traditional Cuban sandwich online and arrived 10 minutes later. I informed the lady at the counter that I was picking up an online order, and she assured me it would be ready soon. I waited in their dining area for over 15 minutes, seated in front of them on my phone. Eventually, I approached them and inquired about my order. Another lady checked behind the counter, found my bag, and handed it to me. It was clear that the staff was too preoccupied with small talk and forgot about me. If ordering online, be sure to confirm your order is ready upon arrival.

I visited Michelle Faedo's Tampeno Cuisine for lunch with a coworker earlier this week and tried the Faedo's Famous Traditional Cuban. Toasted bread was filled with tender pork, flavorful ham, Swiss cheese and tangy pickles. Overall a good sandwich.

Michelle Faedo's is a Tampa staple. Their Cuban sandwiches are one of the best things on their menu. I especially like the hybrid Cuban sandwich. Service is always great and food is always made to perfection. I can't recall a time that I've been there and have been disappointed. They have changed locations over the years and I have continued to follow them. This is a testament of the quality of food and service that can be found at Michelle's.
