They moved which is normal with the Hard Rock as they grow, but they changed Chefs and not for the best. Soups are average at best had chicken corn chowder yesterday and the consistency was like oatmeal and tasted like cumin), French fries were cold, they changed the ranch dressing which was awesome to a smoked ranch that is horrible). I have had several of their soups which just do not taste good anymore. They focus more on presentation than taste. We have gone there from day one. Very disappointing!
This restaurant is not closed. They expanded and reopened yesterday. I have to say they are not as good as the prior restaurant. Bigger is not better. They are disorganized and our order was wrong and the waitress insisted it was right. Apparently she doesn't know what pastrami looks like. Hopefully they will get it together
The coffee bar was excellent I was greeted immediately, the spot in front of me quickly cleared and wiped, and I had a delicious chai tea latte served to me in no time. Pastries in the pastry cases looked incredible especially the cinnamon rolls and sticky buns. Service at the table for our party of 10 was okay, and our server was friendly, but because we were at the very back of the restaurant, it took forever to get necessary items like coffee refills, ketchup for home fries, and jelly for our toast. Plus the sound of construction was very loud at the back of the restaurant. I did enjoy my vegetable omelette, though, and I was very glad to have the option to order fruit instead of potatoes with my meal. The wheat toast was surprisingly good too. It's the only breakfast option in all of Hard Rock Hotel Casino before 11 am, so it is this or nothing.
Tucked away behind hotel elevators, Rise is a really beautiful space, that still remains casual. Can be seated at a table, bar, or order to-go at the counter. Chocolate mousse cake, and berry topped cheesecake were really good, and well priced! Tiramisu was a bit strong (in terms of the alcohol it soaks in). Espresso drinks are average price, and very tasty.
Wish I could do 2 reviews one from the actual restaurant and the other for the cafe style to go in the front. Restaurant is nice and clean. Our server Hector was pleasant and friendly. Our food came out quickly and was steaming hot. 4 stars for the restaurant. The little cafe area in the front has a lot of delicious looking desserts and an nice coffee menu. I ordered an iced coffee sweeten with cream togo after we ate $3.18). The server pretty much got a cup full of ice and poured hot coffee over it, which made it a diluted cup of coffee. She hands it to me and told me to add my cream and sugar myself. Really? If I 'm paying over $3 for a cup of coffee, I don 't expect to make it myself. After a failed attempt of trying to stir in sugar packets into cold watered down coffee, I ask the server if they have liquid sugar. She then pours wayyyyy too much and now my watered down iced coffee tastes like sugary milk water. She then ask What else do you want? More ice? ... Really horrible service.
