Despite wanting to raise the issue with the staff, the long wait and busy atmosphere prevented me from doing so without causing embarrassment to my companions.
I was really excited to try this restaurant. The menu had a lot of variety and some interesting options. Prices were a bit high, so we expected good quality. The restaurant was beautifully decorated. However, when we arrived for lunch after playing in the snow, it was very crowded. I had asked if we could make a reservation ahead of time, but they only took reservations for evenings. This meant we had to wait for a table. My daughter enjoyed her hotdog, but my husband's pizza was too salty. My Tartiflette was disappointing - the potatoes were hard, underseasoned, and unevenly cooked. The bacon was sparse, the cheese was stringy, and the dish was swimming in cream sauce. The creme brulee was cold with warm sugar on top. I'm giving it 3 stars because the onion rings were good and the staff were friendly, but I wouldn't go back.
I was very disappointed with this restaurant. My family and I went there after visiting the snowdome. We ordered the vegetarian supreme pizza, but somehow got a mix of the vegetarian supreme and the caprina pizza instead. The pizza was loaded with lots of chilies and red chilies. About an hour after leaving, my family and I started experiencing stomach cramps. Unfortunately, we ended up getting sick and throwing up throughout the night. Our stomachs have been unsettled all day. I would not recommend this place.
Okay where to start Aspen has now been upgraded to a table service restaurant in the loosest terms. Price compares to table service restaurant but food does not. The ambience gives the impression of a Canadian mountain restaurant's which is lovely but food was more like the old menu fast food style And talk about a standard milkshake drink but paying £7.00. Would I go again no sorry. They seem to missed a trick.
Me and my sister went today, ice skating was great but then went to Aspen’s for food drink. I ordered at the bar, the woman must have no got what i ordered as we wanted loaded fries and not normal fries and i even pointed at the menu. This was her fudged up. When the food came out we seen that they were not loaded fries and was normal so we asked her why we got these. The woman did not accept that she was wrong and no apology i had to pay the extra for the loaded fries which was fair enough. But the nornal chips that came to the table usually places would let you have them as a sorry we messed up. But no she took them back. This is so messed up as its mix contamination anyway and they went back to the kitchen. The food overall we had the loaded chips, that was not great. Good potion size but not enough cheese at all, it was like i ordered plain chips in the end. Then we had the natchos. The plate was loaded with sour cream which ruined the food. Will not eat here again.
