Price quality and quantity is this place outstanding! Great service and kind people. The outside tables are in the middle of a caracteristic street, great place to sit.
We were undecided which steak to choose so our young male waiter with perfect English explained about the Prussian T bone which is 1kg and most expensive on menu at 77 euro but we did not need much persuasion. We mentioned we had tried a florentina steak in Florence a few years ago and he said this was better (of course). It was fantastic very tender, like a ribeye and not too much to eat as bone takes up some of the weight which I was glad about. It was served up on a wooden board and we were left to carve it which my partner was happy to do. Just ordered some patate al forno and salad which is all you need. Glasses of local wine were chosen by waiter and were good and reasonably priced. Waiter was very charming, friendly and so funny when we tried to speak Italian, he insisted he needed to practice his English which was perfect anyway! Lovely place to visit in Old Town.
That was we were looking for: not fancy, extremely delicious home made food and nice beer. Reasonable price. The staff was also helpful and friendly. Perfect place to have a meal!
We were craving meat and this was the perfect place to find it. Located in one of the alleys in Taranto, it provides the real local feel and atmosphere of the city. They were packed on a Saturday evening but the staff still did their best to accommodate us and find us a table after a short 15 minute wait. The service and wine was superb, not forgetting the amazing meat that they had to offer. Overall a great dinning experience if you are craving this kind of food. A great lively happy easy going atmosphere with amazing food.
