Domus - Tarragona

Decided to stop here whilst exploring Tarragona on a day trip from a cruise ship and very glad we did. Ordered tapas from the set menu, excellent value for money and the icecream dessert was simply the best dessert I have ever eaten. Highly recommend.

Visited on a Sunday afternoon for tapas. Our waiter spoke English well and was attentive and helpful. The selection of tapas is not the largest, and I particularly missed more choices of meat based tapas. The pimientos del padron were very good, as were the goat cheese deep fried wontons. The patatas bravas were not particularly good and all dishes were a bit too salty to my liking, but every dish was served fast and hot. Paid 60 € for 7 tapas and drinks for two adults and two kids.

We spent the afternoon sightseeing Tarragona, saw a wedding in the Amphitheatre and arrived footsore and thirsty at Domus, nestled in a corner of the Plaza Sant Bernat. We chose it because it looked quite inviting. We sat outside and were served very generous strawberry daiquiris while the boys received well chilled 330cl cans of Sprite (not the typical miserly 200cl bottles), which pleased them no end! It was also very reasonable priced and served with a smile. Perfect overall and we left well satisfied.

The waiter (I think he was the owner) was kind, explaining beer options and recommending very well. the very rich “bravas”, when we return to tarragona sure we stop to calm the thirst here again.

El camarero (creo que era el dueño) era amable, explicando opciones de cerveza y recomendando muy bien. los “bravas” muy ricos, cuando volvemos a tarragona seguro de que paramos a calmar la sed aquí de nuevo.
