Cafe Nero - Taunton Deane

I do enjoy Cafe Nero in Taunton; it offers great coffee and a lovely atmosphere to relax in. However, during my visit today, the server seemed more focused on his phone than on serving me my coffee. Customer service should prioritize the customer, so this experience was disappointing. Despite this, I still recommend giving this cafe a try, as this is just my personal opinion based on today's visit.

During our visit to Cafe Nero today, we were extremely disappointed with the service we received. The staff member serving our drinks seemed unenthusiastic and did not smile. When we asked about the difference between two coffees on the menu, they were unable to provide an answer due to a language barrier. This made it difficult for us to understand what we had ordered. To our dismay, we waited a long time for our drinks, which were poorly presented and did not taste good. The coffee had a gritty texture and a sour flavor, which was not worth the price we paid. Unfortunately, we were unable to voice our concerns in person as we did not have a pen and were not offered a napkin. The lack of cleanliness in the toilets was also a major letdown, with a strong odor and no paper towels or working hand dryer. We hope that the staff at Cafe Nero can improve their hygiene practices. Although we have been loyal customers in the past, my friend and I have decided not to return to this establishment.

I have been frequenting this Nero for years, but I have noticed a decline in quality over the past year. Today's experience was terrible. The drink was still good, and the staff seemed nice enough, but every table had at least one dirty tray and mug. The tables were all in need of clearing, and it was clear that the toilets hadn't been cleaned in over 6 hours based on their own sign-off system. It was definitely time for a cleaning.

Beautiful almost 500 year old historic merchants house. Friendly welcoming staff. The best cafe Nero I've been in. A must if visiting Taunton. Shame they'd ran out of non dairy milk on my visit. Thanks Keiron for being so helpful.

Ordered a plant based sausage bap and iced coffee through Uber eats to be delivered to home, however a bacon roll was put in instead, if not noticed and the person had eaten this, they could have been very ill. Didn’t much fancy the iced latte afterwards, as had requested a milk substitute, but couldn’t be sure dairy wasn’t used. Was only offered a partial refund. Not the first time we’ve had issues with this branch and wrong orders.
