The Farmers Arms - Taunton

In all the years we’ve lived in Taunton, my partner and I somehow never made it to this pub until today. We were looking for a destination for a day trip outside the city, and we’re so glad we chose this one! From the moment we arrived, we were delighted by the charming rustic interior and the incredibly cozy, relaxed atmosphere. The comfortable sofas by the fireplace were a perfect touch, and we received a very warm welcome from the staff. The pints were excellent and reasonably priced, and the homemade pork scratchings were simply divine! It seems this fantastic pub has also been featured on Channel 4.

This isn't the first time we've dined here, and the food is always excellent. However, on this occasion, they had run out of some menu items, and it was only 7 PM. That said, the food is still wonderful, and the service is prompt. I would definitely recommend this place for a night out!

We visited the restaurant in the evening and enjoyed a meal with drinks. It’s a wonderful place with courteous staff and excellent service. Our dinner was cooked to perfection, and they graciously allowed us to bring our dog along. If you're in the area, you should definitely check it out. You won't be disappointed!

What a gem of a place. Hands down the best ploughmans I've ever had. We stayed in room 5. Lovely spacious yet cozy and comfortable. Great shower pressure, quiet location, comfortable bed with luxurious bedding. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Stunning walks on your doorstep. Will definitely be coming back.

The food was delicious, couldn't fault it. We had 3 different staff serve us and clear up and they all seemed nice. The only thing I marked it down for was when we were paying by card, we were asked out aloud if we would like to leave anything for the girls. They were stood right next to us watching so we couldn't really say no. Would have been better to hand us the card machine so we could select the option to tip ourselves. For harder up people out for a one off treat, this may have put them in a tricky position. Other than that, it was lovely.
