The Fish Box - Taupo

I’m not from Taupo, so I relied on reviews to select this restaurant, and I wasn't let down. The photos really speak for themselves. The portion of chips was generous and delightfully crispy. My online order was ready almost exactly on time. I definitely recommend this place!

The best Fish and Chips we have had on our NZ trip by a mile! The chips were extra crispy with a good amount of salt. The chicken and Avocado burger was delicious and juicy! The fish burger was very crunchy and full of flavour. The Mars bar in batter was to die for with a great Cinnamon flavour. If I lived here, this would be my local!

We tried the Gurnard, deep fried banana and the chips. All were excellent; the banana had a thin but crisp coating and a light dusting of cinnamon sugar, the fish was succulent and great value for money. There are plenty of other things that looked great on the menu like the bacon butie and burgers! There's only seating outside.

Great variety, friendly and quick service. Our meal was ready quickly and the overall quality was good (we even got a few bonus items in our family pack). Special mention of the deep fried Camembert delicious

Great fish and chips! Saw the reviews in Google while looking for nice fish and chips shops in Taupo. Nice and tasty crumbed fish! Will definitely buy here again if in Taupo! Highly recommended.
