Tipsy Trout - Taupo

This is a fantastic casual restaurant with friendly and helpful staff who always have great smiles. The food is excellent and offers great value for money—not overpriced at all! Both adults and kids had a wonderful time!

I visited this restaurant last night and had a fantastic experience! The staff was very friendly, and the food was absolutely incredible. The curry of the day was among the best I've ever had, and the steak was cooked to perfection, topped with a delicious mushroom sauce. The battered fish was amazing, and the sticky date pudding is a must-try, though be warned—if you start with the soup like my poor husband did, you might not have any room left for dessert! Thank you for a wonderful meal!

The restaurant offers a relaxed, casual dining experience in a gorgeous setting. The food is beautifully presented, and the service is friendly and attentive. I've enjoyed dining here numerous times, but it's unfortunate that they no longer serve lunch on weekdays.

Great local place for breakfast, lunch or just a cold drink after a ride/run. Glen the chef has some amazing experience and when we asked for plant based food he provided a fantastic smashed avo for our lunch. Great selection of ciders and beers. Highly recommend this as a great day trip from Taupo.

Over from Sunny Coast Queensland and pop out for a drive. Found this lovely Cafe and had BLT and a pot of chips. Amazing food, well presented and delivered to our table by a Friendly lady. Free WiFi and a wood burner to keep the place warm
