We were often here, mostly for breakfast. We went last night for the special chicken. That was our second time on Thursday for the special chicken. Our first wasn't good either. A big guy said we should have been sitting somewhere to sit in the back room. After 10 minutes waiting for a server, menu 's and drink, finally came the big guy and asked if someone was waiting for us, I said no and he said he would be right back. I ordered two special chicken dinners, woman had French fries and maize nuggets, I had potatoes, gravy and green beans. Again, the chicken was fine. Greasy roasted chicken with bread, as last time. Cake potatoes and canned beef engraving. Green beans from the can that have most places. The French fries and cornuggets were good. For all the advertisements about home cooking and all food prices on your menu I can't believe you serve imitation food. Here's the worst part. We're here at 3:00. We'll eat at 6:00. A few sat next to us and the waitress came with menus and said they were sold out of the chicken. That's at 6:00. The couple said no thanks, rose and went. This happened three more times before we finished dinner. IF we will ever come back to breakfast or dessert.
Delicious food. I had a tuna salad sandwich with sweet potato fries. Nothing was greasy, it was just perfect. Their pies are to die for. The servers and all the people working here are very friendly. Highly recommended.
Excellent authentic hearty breakfast. A hole in a wall kind of place that almost exclusively serves regular local customers. I recommend the Eggs Benedicts, but everything they serve looked good. I heard from a local that the orange juice is a must try... Apparently fresh-squeezed everyday. I will try it next time. Almost forgot to mention my incredibly friendly server... Really nice attentive and knowledgeable.
Very friendly staff. All Sunday, in the middle, but waiting wasn't bad. Many parking spaces on the back when the attachment is full. Great menu options make it difficult to choose for a first timer! Coffee refills were common, but our food was slowly arriving. The food was great, but our food was cold to slightly warm when it arrived. Biscuits and Gravy and the land ham are great options. Cinna bread pancakes and regular pancakes would probably have been good if they were hot or at least warm. Will definitely try to regain Mary's, they are a local clamp and hope to get a faster service so I can update my review.
