The tables of this place are truly arranged in the farmyard, where a huge tree of sweet figs stands majestically, from Podere di Lorenzo, the head of the family... it is family run, you can taste the typical Tuscan dishes rigorously made with organic products from the garden, harvested daily. The menu changes every day. I ate an excellent wood-fired pizza from the Hague and as an appetizer the flavors of the Tuscan countryside: pappa with tomato, chickpeas and lentils Florentine style, figs and spicy salami and other delicacies, all washed down with good local wine. The evening passed pleasantly accompanied by the music of a good group of musicians. Mr. Lorenzo is a very affable person and so are the other members of the family. I recommend the place for the authenticity of the dishes, to spend a peaceful rural evening. Excellent quality-price relation. Unfortunately, the opening period is only in the evening (from 7.30pm to 10.30pm) from Spring to mid-September only because the countryside requires a lot of necessary care... Now it's harvest time and... we are in the heart of Chianti.
