Il Caratello - Tavarnelle val di pesa

We visited the restaurant early on a Saturday evening. It was empty so we had the pick of tables. The waiter was attentive took drinks and food orders. The menu was very limited in choice and not much for children to eat. We all had pasta accept one of our party. The waiter it turns out was also the chef! The meals were very average, some hot from the microwave others cold. It was basic but disappointing. The meal cost 65 euros which felt overpriced for the quality. I think we with more staff the restaurant could be something, we will not be returning.

Our wedding was catered by Il Caratello and it was just amazing. The flavours are just wonderful and the staff did an excellent job by serving a large group at one time. We visited the restaurant in Tavarnelle in March to try out several dishes and everything was lovely. Try the red Stieto wine as well!

We stayed in tavarnelle by chance and we stopped at dinner. all really good cutters and the first really good. We will definitely return to get the meat.
