This was part of our tour from Mexico City so it had an included lunch. The view of the Taxco City center is great, especially if you get a seat with a view. The limited lunch choices were ok at best. A little under seasoned...for my taste. Very nice cocktail selection.
This restaurant is very clean, very modern and boasts a breathtaking view on the wonderful Cathedral Santa Prisca, you can take very nice pictures, it is a nice place for tourists. The service was good. The guacamole was tasty to start with, but I didn 't...enjoy the taco with chicken. The prices might be a little bit high for Taxco.
My daughters and I came to Taxco, my wife 's favorite place in the world, to scatter some of her ashes. Having done so we came to the Zocolo to reflect and found we were in the midst of Pappa Jesus festivities. There was a children 's...fireworks show to begin in about 30 minutes, so we looked for a place from which to observe it. We say Restaurante La Parriquia overlooking the Santa Prisca church and went to see if we could get a table near the window. We were seated at the window near the kitchen with a direct view of the tower set up for the fireworks (a whole other story). My daughters each ordered a different meal and we got guacamole to share. The food was good, our waiter (Juan) was attentive, but not hovering and no one was in a hurry to move us on. We had a great time and learned there was another fireworks event that evening more aimed at adults. I asked about reserving the table and it was done immediately. We returned around 8 PM. Again, the service was great, the food was good and the show was indescribable. You do not want to come to Taxco if climbing is an issue for you. And there are lots of stairs going to the restaurant. In all of my trips to Taxco in the last 25 years I had never been to the restaurant before. We would see if right after we ate and say we need to try that some time. It is not easy to get to as the entrance is off to the side among some shops. But it is well worth the trouble. It will be my go to spot from here on out for anything on the Plaza de la Borda.
No es que ofrezcan unos platillos impresionantes... pero lo que si tienen son precios muy buenos y una vista maravillosa de la iglesia y el zócalo.
