Ricoco's Latin Grill - Taylor

I give this place a solid four stars. It had amazing food. As someone else stated, this is not Tex-Mex. It is true Latin food. You are first served a spicy cabbage concoction alone side a very flavorful and spicy red salsa. Add those two together and yum. I had the shrimp enchiladas and my son had a chicken pasta with onions, bell peppers, chicken and mushrooms. My shrimp enchiladas were beautifully flavored without any heavy sauces. I've never tasted anything quite like them but absolutely loved it. My son's Key Lime pasta was another dish that had very distinct flavors. I just had to try some of his and I also can rave on it. We were so pleasantly surprised to have a place such as this in a small town like Taylor. The only reason I had to knock a star off was because they have several ceiling tiles that are just gross. Water damage and mold. These are pretty cheap and they just need to replace them. Other than that, we will be back to enjoy more food and just sit away from those yucky tiles.

I thought this restaurant made its tortillas fresh and offered tableside guacamole. However, we were served two types of store-bought flour tortillas (some were white HEB ones and others were brown). The guacamole was plopped on our table straight from the fridge just 30 seconds after we ordered it. The shrimp side dish, which looked strangely microwaved and cheesy, was quite puzzling as well. It was a humorous experience, but maybe this is Taylor's take on Mexican cuisine... ufffff.

Tonight was our first visit, and we want to thank Ricoco's! You've just gained some new regulars! Everything was truly outstanding!!

I love this place! I have told all my friends and bragged about Ricoco's and i was so disappointed when i called in an order to go. So we live in Round Rock and we drive all the way there to enjoy a great meal on a regular basis we love the molcajete and the shrimp ceviche) I haver a business and I work in the area on Wednesdays . So I called to place a to go order over phone and requested a burrito with just beans, rice , onions and cilantro and of course the beef. I was disappointed when the girl told me that they don't do special request? I even offered to pay extra because i planned on eating my burrito on the go but she said the are strict on the the menu . It was so disappointed . I explained to her that we drive from Round Rock on a regular basis and I was craving the food and just wanted to have a simple burrito and they would not accommodate : . I am a business owner and I am always try and please my customers on their needs . I am sure that they do well just on having a regular, menu but it would have been nice to accommodate a regular customer Sad to say we are probably not going back there anymore . I don't want to give my business to a company that won't accommodate . I used to work for a company that worked with people that were new to Texas and always recommended Ricoco's so I am disappointed in how they treated me. No respect or care Too bad : I am sure that loosing my business won't mean much but i will never recommend them again

I love the Latin vibe of this little place. Lovely service. Food was good. We will return! Gracias!
