Feedback gevenWe flew from West Chicago to Taylorville for the purpose of having lunch at Bill's Toasty Shop. As expected, it is a “down home,” old fashioned little downtown place. When we entered, the stools along the soda fountain were vacant, as were the 2 booths, which each sit 2 people. We sat in a booth, looking to the menu located at the top of the wall above the fountain. Our drinks were given to us across the counter and orders taken. First time there, we live in Decatur and will return.
It's a no-frills diner that serves good food at a fair price. The burgers are great, well worth the price considering what you get. Shakes are classic milk-and-ice-cream shakes rather than powdered mix shakes.
