I had a really great time here due to the alpacas next door! The food was ok though. I got the hotdog and chips since everything else seemed overpriced which was ok (I was surprised to get a fried sausage instead of a hotdog in a bun though, but maybe this is an NZ thing? . I also got a flat white which was ok. The real highlight was feeding the alpacas next door. The cafe doesn’t really advertise it but the neighbouring fences have signs about alpaca food and you can ask the cashier to buy some. The alpacas were on the far side of the field but I shook the bag of food and they came running over! I spent $2 on alpaca food and though it was a great deal for the experience!
A pit stop for most people travelling between Milford Sound and Queestown/Invercargill. Decent coffee and the Cajun Chicken Sandwich was good after heating up. Friendly staff and spacious seating. There are lots of souvenirs sold here too hence many tour buses stop here for toilet breaks.
Nice stopover location before heading to Milford Sound. Was here as part of a tour. Great to grab a coffee and a variety of breakfast sandwiches and pies. Lunch pack also prepared here, perfect on the Milford Sound cruise.
Food was excellent really enjoyed the venison meet pie as had a generous amount of meat.
