Diva Delights - Teaneck

First time order from this place but this was very disappointing. I ordered fried chicken and backed chicken but the fried chicken was already cut tiny pieces for some reason? Why did they cut like this? All the sides are salty. Too much seasoning. Potato salad was very watery like liquid. Not many chunks of potato inside. Backed chicken tasted ok but it was hard like a rock and I could tell it was cooked a while ago. We just didn't enjoy the meal period.

Expensive and overrated, I got the baked chicken and it was undercooked. Wouldn't recommend it

They say a picture tells a thousand words. Diva Delights is one of the best soul food restaurants I have ever been to. Most of the meats are made fresh to order. The steak and grilled shrimp are my favorite. Paired with the Mac and cheese and potato salad. I also love the lamb chops when they have the special. The restaurant is owed by a single black woman and you can tell she puts her soul into every once of her cooking. Not sure where the bad reviews came from but I can only assume it’s from the competition. The only way you can truly know and experience the food is to give it a try yourself. You won’t be disappointed.

DONT GO HERE I REPEAT DONT GO HERE!!! I was going through the doordash app and Diva Delights popped up. I went through their pictures and it looked amazing, however that was in fact not the outcome. I ordered 2 build a dinner which comes with two sides on two meats. One was with fried shrimp and fried salmon while the other came with grilled salmon and fried salmon. They both came with mac and cheese and yams. About 15 minutes later we get a call saying there’s no more salmon so i changed the meats to only shrimp so wouldn’t that mean i would get double amount of shrimp since they didn’t have it? Clearly not to them, i opened my platter and what i see is 4 small shrimps with some dry mac and cheese. First of all the mac and cheese wasn’t even mac and cheese it was just straight up dry noodles with no cheese, tasteless. I asked for tartar sauce and they gave me some yellow sauce that taste like honey mustard mix with tartar sauce. Mind you to anyone reading this, i paid 55 dollars for 2 platters that came with 4 shrimps, some dry mac and cheese that barely even had any cheese or seasoning on it. This ain’t even all of it, I call because I was so furious and wanted my money back who wants to buy soul food if there ain’t no soul into it? if i wanted some tasteless unseasoned dry food you think i would be ordering at a SOUL FOOD SPOT??? so i call right they have the damn nerve to not even answer mind you it was 5 pm when they said it closed at 7. F this spot IF YOU WANT SOME BUSSIN SOUL FOOD GO TO MAGGIES SOUTHERN KITCHEN. WAY BETTER FOOD TRUST ME !!

Great food ! The fries are seasoned and are to die for! I will be back! Thank you and its black owned soooo yes, please support.
