I'm not usually a person who checks on everything, but unfortunately I have to write my dissatisfaction on this issue. ideally located in this picturesque village is about the only positive from this experience to say similarities with...standard towers would be an understatement. the renter was a nice guy, but a one man band, the drinks poured, collected glasses cooked the food, collected plates cooked the desserts, also poured drinks into the same goggles and then, over calculated for easy meal like corn bark hash x 5, which was perfectly hot and edible) and then sets of drinks and pudding told it to the final bill what at the end came to £118, which allegedly had been going on government, but when I approached the renter to break about the bill, he said not!!. at the end we paid the bill and called the renter and asked him if he could break the bill, so that we had the work, prices down, just to be written that the owner had been answering his phone and gave us back but the point of this review is that surely a man band that tries to run a pub this size without any employee or support is really business sucicide and made a hohn and schambische experience for us has a family and we will try to take a great birth of this public house in the future. under the current climate in which the government tries to encourage people to come out again and experience restaraunts, and then to experience this farce was a real sweat. I'm sorry, but not on scratch.
Dipped for a late Sunday afternoon afternoon with the dog. pub was warm, the staff was friendly. some selections of decent pub-grub plus sunday roasts we went for a smoked squid and the other for maden. both meals were hot and. chic nice beer too. in total a good place in teignmouth time rest a past and eat and drink.
We are a group of about 20 hikers and finding a place for lunch can be tricky, especially on New Year's Day. After contacting the pub in advance, the staff was more than willing to accommodate us. They created a menu with a variety of options, as we had to pre-order our meals due to our large group. The food was served promptly and everyone enjoyed their meals. Two additional hikers joined us unexpectedly, but the pub was happy to serve them as well. We will definitely return to this pub on one of our future hikes.
Went tonight for a Xmas meal and it was comical!. Steak looked like a chop but tasted ok, small portions and expensive alcohol. Not sure if he was landlord but everything had to be rushed because of a draw of which we entered, not being...offered tickets and surprise only locals won, tickets weren’t given
