Bella Mar - Telchac Puerto

La comida es buena mas por la habilidad de la cocinera que por la calidad del pescado pues estaba congelado. Los guisos eran interesantes: comida yucateca con un toque asiático. El lugar junto al mar MUY bonito. El mesero muy amable. Lastima del tiempo, tardamos mas de 1 hra, en recibir la comida. Si volvería, pero sin hambre para nadar mientras preparan los alimentos.

The tables are right on the beach with the most beachy vibe you can imagine. You walk through what looks like the owner's residence to get to the dining area. But as unconventional as it sounds, you're not in a commercial epicenter. This is rustic, real and relaxing. My fried fish was spectacular as was my friend's stuffed fish with shrimp and cheese. The food doesn't appear for quite a while but the wait is worth it! I'll be back!

This wonderful restaurant is located right on the ocean. It is a great place to watch the ocean and enjoy some great seafood. The service may appear to be slow but it is only because he is cooking everything fresh and to order. I tried the butter shrimp. My wife had the garlic shrimp. Both dishes were excellent.

We did a day trip (on our 17 day road trip in the Yucatan) from Merida along the northern coast. By mid-afternoon we were ready for lunch. Glad for the great reviews for Bella Mar. What a find. We sat outside with a breeze and lovely view of the Gulf through the palms. We were the only people there (mid-afternoon off-season). The 10 year old grandson (home on holiday break) of the owners took our order and served. The food was wonderful -- we had beer and the homemade chips came with 5 different "dips" - pumpkin, sausage, fish, 2 kinds of beans. I had the Camarones in butter (they serve it 5 ways) and my husband had the Filete de Pescado. They were each $7USD.

La comida es muy promedio y no hay mucha variedad. El servicio es lento y un poco atolondrado. Tal vez porque era Semana Santa y las mesas estaban llenas, pero son pocas y el mesero se hacía bolas o tardaba mucho para traer las cosas. La michelada con habanero está muy buena. Los precios están bien. Pagamos $1100 y éramos 5 personas. La playa no es de agua cristalina pero está limpia
