Feedback gevenWe ate here for lunch and ordered enchiladas with mole sauce, pescado diablo, grilled fish and shrimp empanadas. The pescado diablo was good. The shrimp empanadas were wonderful. The grilled fish was the driest, saltiest fish I think I have ever tasted and the mole sauce was overpowering with a not great taste. No one at our table could eat the fish or enchiladas but the other two dishes were quite good. We should have listened to the reviews that said this is the place to eat breakfast. There were two other places we found in this town with excellent food and I will review them also.
We have eaten many breakfasts, some lunches and a couple of suppers at Tiburones over the last few years. We always enjoy the food and orange juice. There is little or no English spoken.
Loved eating here, you could always count on the food being tasty and good!... Cold beer and great cheap food! can't be beat!
Los Tiburones has been consistently good every time we've been there for lunch. On our recent visit we saw some items on the menu that we had never seen anywhere before and decided to be adventurous. Realize that there is a long list of items that virtually every restaurant along these miles of Gulf of Mexico beach serves, so it was exciting to see something different! The first was a pescado (fish) dish with a name that starts with "flamba..". As that implies, it is made with a sauce of garlic, Kahlua, red wine and ?? that is set aflame before serving. Absolutely terrific! Highly recommended. The second was pescado a la Gamba. Best I can describe the appearance is four fish Twinkies. Fish is dipped in a thick layer of pancake batter and deep fried. The fish was very fresh (no fishy taste at all) but the whole thing was a but too bready for my taste. Still, Tiburones gets points for putting out some unique offerings. Service is always friendly. Most seating is outside; there is nearly always a breeze off the ocean. If you speak some Spanish, ask about the building, which is among the oldest in Telchac.
THIS place, is truly a local gem.. located by the Muelle (pier) in Telchac Puerto's center. This restaurant does a GREAT business on weekends especially, when people venture out to enjoy the seaside. They have SUPER fresh Seafood, and Mexican food. They are opened 7 days a week, serving breakfast, lunch, dinner. Menu is quite extensive, and well priced, featuring every kind of daily caught, FRESH seafood imaginable. Also, specializing in Yucatec cuisine,(local fare) which is out of this world. The complimentary tapas prior to our main meals were quite extensive as well. Home made picante, was fabulous. The fresh seafood mixto ceviche = HUGE portion ! The main courses we outstanding. My husband had the Filete Relleno, which was a great sized filet of the catch of the day, stuffed with a creamy shrimp mix, battered, and lightly fried. I had the Camarones Ala Diabla (butterflied shrimp) in a well spiced hot red sauce. Both dishes came with arroz blanco, home made papa fritos, and over a dozen fresh corn tortillas. The waiter, and the owner were SO friendly, and the ambience was just right. I took lots of pictures to share. Thanks to Trip Advisor for putting them on here, so I could post a review and share with people coming to explore beautiful Telchac Puerto !
