Sol De Jalisco #3 - Temple

We decided to give this restaurant a shot. The food was somewhat average, lacking strong flavors. However, if you’re just looking to enjoy some chips and salsa, they were quite good. But overall, I wouldn’t recommend wasting your time here.

Mediocre. Salsa was the best thing on the menu, and it was very good. Enchiladas were meh. Atmosphere was meh. Everything was pretty much meh. I'd just go for chips and salsa next time. Maybe some queso.

Let me start by saying our meal was not poor but it really stuck with us throughout the day. After eating the lunch special #52 I felt the food in my stomach for a long time. My wife eat the #56 and the soup was not to her liking. One of my biggest challenge was that I spent $8.99 and there was no chicken enchilada option and the lunch option only came with one enchilada and a small chips with queso. I was fine with the size but it should have only been $6.99 at the most. I have eaten at a fantastic Mexican restaurant in Arkansas that has the same prices but better ingredients and bigger portions. I would not have been able to eat two enchiladas as they sat so heavy in my stomach. They were busy so plenty of people like eating there and this was only my first visit but I cannot say I am aching to go back as my stomach is still grumbling.
