Fourteen - Tendring

Ordered takeaway coffee, after 15 mins had to check up where they were hadn't been done. Had to explain order about 5 times for 4 coffees. Only one person doing coffees and she was the one taking the money. Very poor service.

In the midst of a lot of competition, I stumbled upon this Cafe last year during a short break. The staff remained the same on my recent visit, with Ian (who takes orders, prepares, and serves food) struggling to manage on his own, just like last year. When the cafe gets busy, the lady owner occasionally steps in to assist. On Ian's day off later in the week, two other ladies took over his duties. The menu offers a good selection of dishes that are nicely presented and reasonably priced. I look forward to returning in the future, as it was enjoyable to chat with the regular locals who visit the cafe.

Stopped here for a quick bite to eat whilst on our walk … absolutely shocking .. now after reading the reviews from 2020 they don’t seemed to have upped their game … If you have a dog .. it will get biscuits quicker than you’ll get any food … How it managed to get a 4 on a food hygiene certificate is beyond me …

I walked into this restaurant on one of the hottest days of the year and was greeted by a lovely woman who recommended where to sit to catch the best breeze. I ordered two sandwiches with ice cold drinks. The sandwiches were fantastic! They were fresh, generously filled, and very tasty. The drinks were ice cold just as I had requested. The service was friendly, efficient, and professional. I am so happy we discovered this outstanding cafe! We will definitely be coming back. I can't thank everyone at No14 enough for the refreshing break on such a scorching hot day!
