Gary's Fish Chip And Takeaway Clacton

I ordered a large portion of fries at this restaurant. The fries were extremely dry and unappetizing. It seemed like they had just reheated old chips that were previously cooked, as I was one of the first customers when they opened. I dislike when restaurants do that. I attempted to call to complain, but my call went unanswered. This experience has left me with two reasons why I will not be returning to this establishment. I consider the £5 spent on these fries to be a waste.

The fish and chips at this restaurant were fantastic, served by a friendly staff. My wife loved the gluten free batter, saying it was the best she's ever had. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars.

My husband and I ordered takeout from Gary's and we were impressed with how fresh and hot everything was. The cod was a decent size and the chips had just the right amount of salt and vinegar. A must-try for anyone who loves fish and chips.

I enjoy going regularly with my friend to enjoy a meal at Hotel Esplanade. Beautiful chips and excellent fish. The budget meal is especially good value at £7.50. Service good and friendly. I only wish though they didn’t serve it on a cold plate. I’m a slow eater.

Had chips and curry sauce from there and I know it's only chips but they where cooked fresh to order. Nice and crispy and the curry sauce was lovely. Will be going again soon.
