The Old Forge Cafe - Tendring

We have been here a few times and always enjoyed it. The food portions are large and well cooked. The staff are friendly helpful

We had lunch. Fair portions at a reasonable cost, but not high standard. Pastries were good.

Our first visit, I wasn't sure what to expect with a limited menu but I chose the salad and I have to say it was one of the best salads I've ever had. Ham and cheese, delightful potatoes and plenty of them. The ham, eggs, and fries were very good and a cup, a shame we didn't go with the cake but they were waiting to be delivered.

We called on Sunday morning and had a lovely, pleasant and welcoming experience. The lady behind the counter couldn't do enough for us. Our mega breakfast and English breakfast were perfectly prepared and very generous. Great value for money, we thought it was too cheap so we left an extra £5. We will definitely be back!
