Top of the Town Cafe - TENNANT CREEK

Probably the best restaurant in this small town in the deep OutbackIt's a sports club with no atmosphereBut it's a good place to eat.

Upon first entering the cafe, all looked well, the menu looked nice and we were excited to get our food. Unfortunately as the food arrived (burger and schnitzel sandwich) the burger meat was extremely rubbery, tasted cheap and the schnitzel was burnt! The different ingredients which they said they were going to put into the sandwich didn't even appear! It was as though they had made it up! Stay away!!!

Friendly people, located at the Northern end of town, the coffee was good and seem to have a following of people.

Need a solid breakfast to help you get started? This is the best brekky in town. Lovely staff, properly cooked eggs and a good selection of pastries and sides. Coffee is also very good and nothing seemed too much trouble. Plenty of table space and they are only too happy to make you a fresh sandwich for lunch. Well done.

Friendly service, pleasant atmosphere. I had rice paper rolls, generous serve and delicious. Milkshakes superb! Air con and overhead fans keep tje cafe cool, in 39° heat.
