Polly's Cafe - Terrace

ASHLEY was an outstanding server. Unfortunately, the food was overcooked and lacked flavor. The fried items had a taste of stale oil. I ordered dish number 5, which consisted of soggy noodles and rice topped with shredded chicken. The server did bring our concerns to the manager, but she completely ignored us, just glanced at us and walked away. I personally won't be returning.

The food was overcooked. The sweet and sour ribs were excessively tough, almost like chewing on leather. The noodles were soggy, and the almond chicken was served cold. The kids' chicken and fries were also overcooked. Perhaps a change in cooking oil could help. The chicken chow mein and fried rice lacked flavor and were quite bland. They used to be good many years ago (10-15 years back). I definitely won’t be returning. However, our server was absolutely outstanding!

The chow mein was cold and tasted like instant noodles sprinkled with chicken powder. The almond chicken was deep-fried in very old oil and came out completely dried out. The sweet and sour chicken balls were also deep-fried in dirty oil and had hardly any sauce to speak of. Overall, it was just disgusting—a complete waste of money.

Food tasted good, but fairly small portions. I was expecting to have lots of leftovers.
