Other than that its mediocre, and some of the staff are really rude. The rooms are not up to date at all and can be chilly in the winter, which doesn't match the expensive price. The owners wife though is a very nice lady and very pretty.
While travelling in northwestern Ontario, I stopped into the red dog inn located in Terrence Bay. While I did not stay at the inn itself, I did have dinner at the restaurant where the food portions were generous and the service was fast and friendly. Good value for your money and a great place to stop.
We sat down to dinner. We both ordered their specialty roast beef. They brought mine and forgot my wifes. Hers finally arrived 20 minutes late. The waitress said im new deal with it. Not sorry. Just deal with it. I asked 3 times for a knife , finally i had to yell into the kitchen. Then hp sause was never brought just cold gravy. Awful meal never again
We weren't planning too eat here but it was the only place open on the labor day weekend. We ordered a chicken linguini alfredo which was decent. The garlic bread served with it was really good. We asked about the prime rib which they bill as their specialty. They said it's made fresh every day. It was probably the toughest prime rib and least flavorful I've had the displeasure to eat. There was also a lot of fat. The baked potato had garlic butter in it which made it (unfortunately) the highlight of the meal.
Sign says newly renovated but we couldn't find what was renovated with this hotel. We think the sign was an old sign. Service was terrible. There never was anyone at the front desk. We asked for pillows and towels and the front desk person told us he would have them delivered and we never got them. We didn't eat in the restaurant. Smelled bad, like old. Noisy highway traffic outside - just not a good motel or Inn if that is what they want to call it- We paid 99 dollars and it wasn't worth the price in our minds.
