The Old Bell Crown - Test Valley

Lovely long lunch with friends. The food was great I had smoked haddock on a potato rosti with buttermilk sauce, poached egg and spinach. It was delicious! Friends had beef cheek and lamb shank and said the same. The puds were really good too, bread and butter pudding with custard was lovely. The pub has a lovely atmosphere and the staff are friendly and attentive. I would highly recommend it.

The Old Bell and Crown catered for a small group of us for a wake. The buffet was really good: fresh, tasty and a good variety. The staff were helpful and friendly. Thank you.

First time at this pub and had a really nice lunch. The pub has a lovely old charm to it being nestled in a small hamlet with low beamed ceilings and open fires. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. There was plenty of choice on the menu plus a nice number of varied specials. I had the pork belly which was cooked perfectly , lots of cracking and a great cider sauce to go with the mustard mash. All finished off with crumble and custard. The pub was getting ready for xmas so the festive lights added even more charm . I can imagine the evenings here would be great fun especially with live music . Thanks for a lovely time and looking forward to another visit when in the area .

The service was perfect ,no rushing,allowed us to take our time deciding what we wanted to eat,,the menu had lots of options so very relaxing and enjoyable.
