Reef Seafood House - Texas City

Grübte in tc, but moved away 10 years ago. come back to visit family and always go to the reef. was told by family that they had heard bad reviews. we decided to go anyway. happy that we. it is under new property and they make a very good job! Eating was very fresh tasting! Nice that I decided to ignore the reviews and try it. it is worth it!

The Cajun catfish was delicious, not over seasoned, perfect temperature. The shrimp quesadilla was good needed salsa instead of guacamole. Still good. Nice atmosphere. Not noisy.

Our cajun rice was hard. They did replace it with red beans and rice but it wasn't seasoned very well. The gumbo wasn't seasoned either. Grilled and fried shrimp was good. The slaw had potential to be good but they put mustard in it! No ma'am! The bathroom was horribly dirty. It just seems like everyone who works there has given up. In the early 2000's when we used to go it was great. This just makes me sad.

The place is hidden in the back and doesn't look like much on the outside. However the food here is delicious and fresh. There was a small wait to receive our food but it was worth it. Love it! Definitely coming back and recommending it to all my friends and family!

We are here and the atmosphere here is great. My first visit but not my last and ms Amanda was a great server and was very alert. Our food can out hot and fresh . This place is clean and an old fashion look with TV and fish tanks big. Lots of space.
