They are so nice and good food and good kids. The waitress even tied my shoe.

I wouldn't recommend this restaurant for spending your money. The food is just okay, but if you prefer to be treated with respect instead of being patronized, I'd suggest going to Clovis for a more adult experience. From the moment you walk in, you can hear the head waitress cursing at familiar guests, and the staff often talks very loudly.

We were completely ignored during our visit. We waited at our table for 15 minutes without anyone coming over to greet us or take our order.

My husband and I enjoy stopping at local diners while traveling, and we discovered the Double Play Diner during our drive to New Mexico. As we perused the menu, we joked about whether we'd stick to our keto diet or give in to the temptation of chicken fried steak since we were on vacation. The owner, who also acts as the cook, overheard our conversation and recommended some keto-friendly options that weren't listed on the menu. Our meals were fantastic, and we will definitely make a point to stop by the Double Play again when we pass through Texico!
