Inside the complex are some former buildings, of which only the floor plans can be found. Only Burgfried is still largely present. The tower is not accessible during the lock, as the museum, the barn and the chapel closed. For children there is a small playground. The entrance to the castle itself is free and therefore worth a visit.
Worth seeing, well preserved castle from 13.. Century with Wcs, restaurant and youth hostel (the two are currently closed), church etc.. Parking and bus connection in the immediate vicinity.
Free parking and free castle. Everything is relatively well maintained, great views and also what to eat can be found here. Only recommended.
We've been coming back to this beautiful castle for years. The entrance is free and you can explore every corner in all tranquility. The view all around is sensational and recommended in every season. In the restaurant there are the appropriate strengthening and in the small museum there are still some nice information sowi Mitbringsel, occasionally there are also failures and in the hall a concert. In addition, a unfortunately, now overrun medieval festival. For us a very nice piece home, until soon .
Great castle. Since I have been here regularly since my earliest childhood, my review may be useful. not 100% objective but what is certain is that the castle is certainly worth seeing. As the largest castle ruins in Europe, the dimensions are accordingly, so that you can spend several hours here without having seen anything. What disturbs me personally are the very modern renovations that have been carried out in recent years, but unfortunately this is also necessary to get the castle. Everything you expect from a castle is offered. A huge castle peace, hundreds of meters of castle walls, where you can enjoy a phenomenal view and the remains of the original castle building. As a conclusion... just drive yourself. It is worthwhile as a destination for the whole family. Admission is free.
