This place has managed to single handed ruined our day out due to their attitude, conduct and racist treatment. We were the only black table in the restaurant and the treatment being ignored, to being told to keep quite and getting shouted at )we received from the hijabi lady was appalling and disgraceful!! Wish we went somewhere else.
The menu indicated that dishes with a chilli symbol were hot, but the one I ordered, garlic chilli, was unexpectedly spicy. Despite the menu not suggesting it would be hot, I was informed that in Indian cuisine, it was considered a chilli curry. When we requested water, the server suggested yoghurt to cool down the dish, which we agreed to, only to find a £2.50 charge for it on the bill. We paid without leaving a tip. Later, I realized I had left my glasses behind and, initially being told they were not found, my husband discovered them still at the table. This experience left us disappointed in either the poor customer service or a focus solely on profit.
The food was mediocre and quite pricey for the quality. The bill came to over £82 with no starters or alcohol. My wife, two grandchildren under 11, and I dined here and were asked if we wanted to leave a tip when paying. I usually do, but didn't feel inclined to in this case. The atmosphere was lacking and overall, this will likely be our first and last visit to this establishment.
