Da Gama - The Energy Corridor, Houston

The most bland food you can imagine. Nothing had any spice or flavor. We tried 6 dishes. It didn’t taste Indian or Portuguese. Wasted dinner out.

Kenny is an exceptional waiter. We asked him to determine the plates for us— he asked a few questions about restrictions, hunger levels, and preferences. Then he ordered a variety of dishes that were all phenomenal. Ask for Kenny! We certainly will the next time we go!

We’ve ate here several times and once booked a reservation to sit next to the trail. Every time we have mixed experience with the wait staff. I don’t understand the inability to accommodate reservations. We made a reservation days in advanced and still did not have a table. Just a flat no. Weird place.

I loved every dish! The goan fish curry was more on the creamy side, it needed a bit more halibut but the flavors were delightful. The cassava croquette is a great starter, filled with spicy cheese sauce while crispy on the outside. The ras malai cake was a light tres leches highlighting saffron and cardamom resting in what was reminiscent of creme anglaise, making it the perfect bite

My favorite restaurant! The food is amazing every single time as is the atmosphere and service. It's a must when I have out of town visitors.
