It's a fancy tent with upscale prices served in plastic cups. Expect a faux fine dining experience with Porta potty flair. They asked for a credit card up front, like I was gonna dine and dash.. Food dronk was good buy over priced. 8 dollars for a 12 Oz can of beer served in the can or a plastic cup. Part of the temporary Rodeo setup. Parking, as always, for these events is challenging and ADA access, too.
The atmosphere is exceptional. The service is wonderful. The food is as good as it gets. I had the Chicken Laredo and my sister had the baby back ribs. Everything was perfectly cooked and seasoned just right. The bread is heavenly. You won’t be disappointed at Saltgrass. There’s something for everyone.
Mediocre food, terrible service, and 23% mandatory tip. I wanted to celebrate and have a great meal with the family instead left feeling like I just got hustled.
This place has the best food at the rodeo. It's nice to sit down at a table inside a building at the rodeo and eat a meal. Our food was very good and the service was great. The restaurant section was fully booked, requiring reservations only. However we were seated in the Saloon section as a walk in, which was just fine. Having said this, our lunch was grossly overpriced. The staff was clearly overwhelmed and over worked. They add a 23% tip (service charge) to the final bill which is too much, especially after an already overpriced meal. That being said, our server was wonderful, so I’m glad she got the large tip. Also, don't get the coffee, it was undrinkable way too bitter and sour. Something wasn't right there.
