Island Pizza - THE KEPPELS

Tried to support the locals on Great Keppel Island but Island Pizza was closed during our 3 day stay in June 2022. No signs, no phone numbers ... just closed.

The restaurant was not packed, but we still had to wait over an hour. The pizza was decent, but it was too expensive. I don't think I would return to this restaurant. I recommend bringing your own food if you visit the island.

WARNING: AVOID THIS RESTAURANT AT ALL COSTS! We brought our five-year-old daughter and arrived at 6:30pm when they opened. It took a painstaking 3 hours for our small ham and cheese pizza to finally arrive. When we inquired about the delay, we were informed that it would be a total of 3 hours before we received our food. By that point, it was too late to go elsewhere as other restaurants were closed. When our pizzas finally arrived (we had ordered two), our daughter had already fallen asleep while eating hers. This was by far the worst service we have ever experienced. The staff didn't even apologize, simply shrugged their shoulders. Learn from our mistake and don't waste your time here. We disregarded previous reviews mentioning long wait times, assuming they were isolated incidents. Our last night at Keppel was completely ruined by this experience, as we only had two nights there.

After waiting 2 and a half houŕs waiting there, we got our pizzas. Our kid (4year old) is asleep. We are depressed. The restaurant at hideaway is now closed and we had to wait. Do not go there

This place is a JOKE! It’s turtle paced and the ladies working there treat you like you’re a burden! Got some advice for you ladies... If you don’t like working in hospitality THEN DONT!!! People don’t waste your money, these plebs don’t deserve it.
