Bar Bene - The Rocks

Gary, Ted, Jason and Ben are the guns behind the counter. Bar Bene is an institution, it's been around for over a decade. The chaps are friendly and the food is excellent. The coffee is great.

Visited for breakfast with a colleague. Coffee was great. And quick. We also enjoyed the poached eggs which were perfect. Good value too. Recommended.

The coffee is well made with longstanding baristas serving them up. Breakfast offerings include yoghurts and muesli, eggs, toast of various kinds, wraps etc. Best of all is the lunch menu which offers a very delicious squashed meat ball sandwich, toasted and warmed, with a rich sauce. Take a napkin and enjoy.A good place to meet colleagues, or friends. Always well patroned - a good sign.

My friends and I like to eat here regularly in the sit down cafe, and they offer takeaway coffee, salads and other meals as well.Food is very reasonably priced with lots of tasty dishes to try. Our favourite is the beef or lamb and rosemary pies with chips, and this week I tried one of their many salads, the Tunisian chicken salad. It was a little spicy and nice to eat.Eat in is more expensive than takeaway, however we always like to eat on. The service from staff is always excellent - attentive, helpful and friendly.It's located inside the Grosvenor Place building on the ground floor, behind the lifts and tucked behind the escalators. Well worth visiting here.

Quick coffee and good value at $3.00 for a regular coffeeCampos beans, coffee is consistently good although can be a little too hot at times.
