As authentic as it comes in the burbs. The service is quite good and beer and wine selection OK but you can bring your own. We just keep on going back
If they don't want to fake any real Japanese food, then this is for them. great service, high quality food, they get what they pay.
It is true, it is one of the best, but also pricy. they can have a private Japanese style room for extra. although the whole restaurant always feels very elegant, stylish and relaxed. perfect for a few dinners. Previously I tried the pink salt rock wagyu yakiniku. the tasty and one has to be, as I did not see on the menu anywhere else. tonight we had the Deluxe Sashimi, all seafood was delicious, except for one, we had as much effort to eat as the waitress who proclaimed it in English language (quite charming and I appreciate their effort). The scallops were the top pick of the sashimi plate. we also had the marinated grilled cod, a pretty strong heavy taste, they can say it was well prepared, just not after our taste. the employees are usually Japanese and some of the patrons. for me this is a good sign for good Japanese food. the restaurant has been for years and it still remains popular for good reason. reason why I just give it 4 stars is because I think this restaurant is excellent so that I extra picky. we asked about the desert menu and instead were bought the bill, we passed on the desert menu (only 6 items;) we ordered an item and were told it is not available and were bought again the bill. I took it as a sign. but why do they not tell us at the beginning what is not available (they only have 6 items available anyway) and why do not give us a second chance to order a desert. strange. I'll be back because I really enjoy the atmosphere and eating. but I feel for the price and the little quibbles we have experienced, I can't give it a perfect score.
A place to go, but first look for it, as it is hidden in a small shopping center on the top level (if the main entrance is closed, an outside staircase leads over its terrace to the restaurant the interior is pretty, very...friendly staff, a menu where I ask from time to time what kind of dish or fish they offer. the decoration on each plate was beautiful, handy and colorful, which made every dish even more interesting. from sashimi salat, to sushi, hot salt rock dishes and so on, all fresh. it was so good that we went twice! yip and we had the sake that was offered for everyone, all tastefully everything else and I don't know much more about sake, but loved the experience. the Japanese desert is not my favorite, so I would save my comment would not be fair. I had another one.
