I would highly recommend visiting Hotel Aramana near Thiruvalla City if you are interested in trying some great seafood in Kerala style. During lunch, we tried some of the seafood dishes and they were all delicious.
We're here twice. in both times we felt that they needed too much time to serve food. if they are looking for a quick dinner, this is probably not the place. the parathas and chapathis were hard and inconspicuous. the tandoori. huh was also very hard and not delicious. at both locations several elements were not available in the menu. overall, the actual food and service is a far cry from the outside, which looks inviting. there is a lot of parking, and we liked the interiors. the bathrooms are large and well maintained.
I with my family comprising 7 adults and 2 children visited the food village on 27/12/2014 at 19.55 on our journey from Thodupuzha to Thiruvananthapuram after seeing the reviews on Tripadvisor. Eventhough the had a large display board stating that they are equipped with a...Vegetarian restaurant, on enquiry with the person at counter, he informed me that no such restaurant is running at present. I excited even though they do not running the Veg restaurant they are keeping the board simply for cheating the commuters. Since two of with us prefer veg food we enquired with the person about the availability of Chappathi and he is ok with it. Then I entered the restaurant named garam masala and ordered for chappathi, paratha with other dishes. The person at restaurant humbly informed that those items are at present not available. The restaurant has a great ambience with good parking area. If the restaurant owner be keen to maintain it properly it will be a shining star soon
Looking at the reviews on tripadvisor, we decided to stop for lunch at this restaurant on our way back from Chengannur today. It wasn't too hard to find being on MC Road itself near the Hyundai showroom Pros: Tasty food Neat and clean...dining area Location with ample parking Cons: Kerala paratha though tasty was not freshly prepared. maybe coz it isn't usual during lunch. Asked the waiter to have it heated at least so that its crispy. But that wasn't done both times Hand soap was very much diluted with water. No credit/debit card payment option Menu wasn't appealing with bad lamination, prices cut and manually written beside the old. Restroom was badly lit This is a very good option between Chengannur and Tiruvalla and would definitely visit again.
The restaurant is very cozy and the service from the staff is excellent. The food is delicious and prepared in a hygienic manner. Dining in such a great location exceeded our expectations.
