My quest for a vegetarian restaurant for dinner led me here, and I must say, it turned out to be a delightful find. I decided to try their ghee roast, and oh boy, it exceeded my expectations. The taste was heavenly, with a tantalizing aroma of ghee that heightened my dining experience. The accompanying side dishes such as sambar and chutney were equally delicious, adding a burst of flavors to the meal. I also indulged in their unique coffee, which was a first for me. To my surprise, the coffee was served in a cup, while the saucer held the milk. This innovative presentation added a touch of novelty to the dining experience. The ambiance, though not remarkable, was decent. Despite their efforts to keep it clean, the high crowd volume made it challenging to maintain cleanliness effectively. Nevertheless, despite being bustling with activity, the service was remarkably prompt. The wash area, unfortunately, did not meet my cleanliness expectations, as the constant rush kept it from being well-maintained. The restaurant has two floors, and I dined on the lower level. However, I found it to be quite congested, which slightly dampened the overall experience. Parking was a significant hurdle, as the street was incredibly busy, making it difficult to find a suitable spot nearby. Nonetheless, considering the quality of the food and the swift service, I would highly recommend Venkadesha Bhavan. It may not boast the best ambiance or the cleanest wash area, but their flavorsome dishes make up for it, especially if you're looking for a satisfying vegetarian meal.
It is one of the oldest restaurants near Sree Padmanabha Temple. We have been ordering from herr for almost a decade. Their Kara Vada is really good. It is really crispy and yummy. I have been a fan of their chapppathy and kurma. It is my go tondish whenever i opt for vegetarian food. We ordered chappathy and kurma, and Masala Dosa. Their masala dosa used to be better. These days, not so much. They accept cash and UPI (Gpay).
This is the second time I had gone there, and the experience was yet again awesome! Food is great, service is good, and cost is extremely low. Trivandrum needs more places like these to cater to the foodie masses. I'm attaching the rate and menu also with this post. The irony is that, the menu doesn't do justice to the quality and quantity being served. Try out their masala dosa, Karai vada, uzhunnu vada, and especially their coffee. This is a place that should be treasured for its awesomeness. Enjoy. Regards .
Tasty vegetarian food at pocket friendly prices. Masala dosa, Chole Bhature, Onion Uttappam are super tasty. And the best Kara Vada in town!
This place was highly recommended by an auto driver. This hotel might have been good in past years, but now the food is below average, no service. Just opposite to this place there is a small idly shop, those boys served good food.
