Horvath's Harbor - Thornville

We waited two hours for our food, which we were told was because the kitchen was short-staffed for the county festival. How frustrating! We come to this area every year for the Backwoods Festival, and dining at this restaurant has always been a highlight after a long day of selling at the festival. We were told multiple times that our food would be coming out soon and that we were next in line, all while watching others who had arrived after us receive their meals. After a long wait, we were given a complimentary plate of chips and a $6 discount for our trouble. I’ve always praised this place to other vendors, but this experience was disappointing.

We cannot love this place more. The service, the food, and the best atmosphere!! The most incredible place to be. Right on the water with the most delicious food, best bourbon and brews, spectacular views and the nicest people. Best service!! We cannot wait to go back. A must visit...once you do...you will be back. I took my mother and my Aunt and we met other family members there and everyone loved it. They were all complimenting how wonderful everything was. Oh, and a must try..the Lobster burger and Brussel sprouts. I don't even like brussel sprouts and I could of ate a whole plate. They were so good. Thom has definetely put a lot of hard work into this and it shows. Nicest guy ever too.The inside is just gorgeous but such a at home atmosphere and the perfect finishing touches added to it all. Drinks..amazing!! Cannot wait to go back when they have the music outside. We went on a day they didn't have it but what a perfect way to enjoy a day out by the water. Thank you to Horvath's harbor for making this trip the most memorable. We will be back!!! Sooner than later I hope. We loved it!! Great coffee shop in the front that opens early! Full on barista, with tables right out front to watch the world go by. Or, grab some excellent food and enjoy the patio and waterway out back. Dining inside is quite nice as well with a full service bar if that strikes your fancy! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Awesome little place near the lake. Went for the first time with friends and all four of us loved everything. The drinks were great, the Brussel sprouts were probably the best we've ever had and all of our dishes were fantastic. Dessert, I forget the name, like a Swiss roll, was out of this world good. To top it off, our waitress, Alexis, was phenomenal! Funny, witty, and personable. Made for a great night with friends. We'll definitely be back!
